Featuring
The French Broad Classic Car and Truck Show
and
Riverdale School Reunion
Come celebrate the history and rural agricultural legacy of the East Knox communities. You’ll find our famous beans & cornbread, hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade ice cream, fresh produce, canned goods, cake walk and raffle, fun and games for the kids, petting zoo, the popular Car & Truck show, and other activities. Raffles will be held throughout the day. Knox Heritage has again listed the French Broad Corridor as one of the “Fragile 15” endangered historic places in Knox County. If you value our rural lifestyle then come find out how you can help preserve East Knox county. Bring your family and friends for great food and music!
The French Broad Classic Car and Truck Show
There will be a special award for best 1938 model (year the school was built). All cars will be displayed on the grass. The French Broad Classic is an important fund raiser for the French Broad Preservation Association’s Country Fair at Riverdale which supports the Communities on the banks of the French Broad River in Knox County. Refreshments will be available on the school grounds. Click here for more information.
The Riverdale School Reunion
As always, Riverdale School alumni will be honored throughout the day. Come revisit with your classmates and teachers. This year a special history book will be available for sale. This book will honor our dear friend, Nancy Jones, who worked tirelessly with Ruby Drinnen to preserve our history by creating the Riverdale History Room.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and your appetite for great food and music!
